Karine Gentelet is a Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the Université du Québec en Outaouais and holds the Abeona-ENS-OBVIA Chair on Artificial Intelligence and Social Justice.

Her research interests and publications focus on uses of digital technology and artificial intelligence to improve social justice, ethics of research in an Indigenous context, and the social responsibility of researchers.

Karine Gentelet is a researcher at the Centre interuniversitaire d’études et de recherches autochtones (CIERA) and the Centre de recherche en droit prospectif (CRDP). She is also a researcher at the International Observatory on the Societal Impacts of AI and Digital Technology (OBVIA).
